Boise totally full of yourself now. Laughable. - 6/12/2021
I've lived here for 20 years.
Despite being VERY DISGUSTED at the horrible, massive over-development that has taken place, and is not over, I will try and put my emotions into check and give a cool-headed, objective view of this area.
1. Cost of living really depends on your financial situation. I read today, 6/12/21 that the average home price in the area - Boise/Meridian has not gotten to $500,000. If you rent an apartment, like I do, you'll be very hard pressed to find anything, as there are almost no vacancies unless you are a college student and ok with living in dorm/shared/hostel style. The owneR of the building I've rented in for an embarrassingly long time has kept the rent increases to a very small %; however, I fear that may change this summer, and I will be forced out. Me and my girlfriend are putting together a short list of places.
2. If you are conservative/right wing minded, you'll fit right in. Someone who considers themselves Democratic/Left
